Since 1997, ENC facilitates the exchanges of ideas and information on sustainable ways of living in communities and promotes the principles and practices developed in the ecovillages around the world. We welcome all those interested in building sustainable community!

Our expectations are that participants will behave responsibly and respectfully towards all members of this Community, respecting their values and viewpoints as well as their feelings. Thank you.

”As President of the Ecovillage Network of Canada (ENC), I want to welcome you to this website and discussion forum. The goal of the Network is to encourage the development of ecovillages which represent a model for an environmental, social, economic, and spiritual way of living that is sustainable. The ecovillage movement offers one solution to the life style that much of humanity has developed and that is damaging the relationship with the earth. This movement is a global effort. The Ecovillage Network of Canada supports the Global Ecovillage Network.

On this forum we hope that we can provide a connection for people who are in ecovillages to build their communities and a place where others with a developing interest can explore opportunities and get their questions answered.

We encourage you to become a member of the Ecovillage Network of Canada and thus support the developing ecovillage movement in Canada and through our partnerships, across the planet earth.

Please let us know how we are doing in meeting your needs so we can continue to make this network more effective. Thank you for participating and for helping to heal the earth. ”                  – Russ Purvis
